Diego Mendeztorres is a 17-year-old professional race car driver from Mexico City, Mexico, known for his raw talent, relentless drive, and strong moral compass both on and off the track. He began his racing journey at the age of 13 in the competitive world of karting, quickly rising through the ranks in the X30 Jr and KZ2 classes. With over 12 career victories, multiple championship titles—including FIA Reto Telmex and ProKart Mexico—and standout performances at premier tracks like Kartódromo Bosque Real and Kartódromo Guadalajara, Diego has established himself as one of the top young drivers in Latin America.
In 2024, he made his U.S. debut in the LEGENDS CAR Series with 860 Motorsports, earning two second-place finishes, eight top-10s in just 10 starts, and a pole position during the prestigious Cookout Summer Shootout.
Despite being new to oval racing, Diego proved his adaptability and racecraft with fast learning and fearless performance. He also entered the Trucks Mexico Series, where his part-time starts still yielded impressive results—finishing 5th and 12th in his only two races, outperforming the team's usual results.
Diego’s journey isn’t just about speed—he’s deeply rooted in his Catholic faith and committed to giving back. He regularly volunteers with the “Cocinando Sonrisas” Foundation, mentoring children and encouraging them to believe in themselves and their dreams.
